3/8" Brass Close Nipple

Save on this 3/8" Brass Close Nipple. It is a fitting that allows you to connect multiple fittings together, and make short runs of pipe without the hassle of cutting and threading. Featuring two tapered and threaded male connections, it is ideal for a snug and leak-free connection when installed correctly (Teflon tape or Pipe dope is required for a leek free connection). 

This 3/8" brass close nipple and other fittings are used in a variety of different plumbing applications. Its durable construction is very reliable and its ability to resist corrosion and rust makes it a better choice over black iron or copper fittings. 

Note: when using brass nipples to connect to copper or galvanized, a dielectric union is required to prevent "Galvanic Corrosion" which is a corrosive reaction created through acidic electrolysis that leads to week and faulty connections.
