Works great in the summer, but too much cold air comes in the winter Rated 1 by cold54 No, I do not recommend this product. Wanting a good exhaust fan, this was purchased and installed in May. Now that it is winter in Ohio, the grate had removed and the opening is covered in wide packing tape to prevent the cold air from coming in. We removed the piece inside with the damper, which neither closes tightly or remains cold. We took it back the hardware store to see if it was defective - they said no that was the design of the damper. Even when closed, there is an area all the way around on the inside where you can see daylight - it is not sealed with foam like kitchen exhaust fans are. At one point there was an icicle hanging from the grate before we removed it and sealed it. I wish I would never have changed the fan. Originally posted on broan.com Jun/2016
Not as quiet as advertised. Rated 3 by Eliminator2 No, I do not recommend this product. Only good for new construction installation. Otherwise the 1/4" flanges around the edge of the fan cover mean that you need to cut extra wide hole in order to install the fan box. The rattling noise is annoying when the newly installed fan is turned on. I tried to use aluminum duct tape to tape off all the suspected loose components, hoping to silent the rattling noise but without success. I have to live with the rattling noise until the fan motor quits and replace it with another brand or model. Originally posted on broan.com Jun/2014
Vents Bath/Shower like never before. Rated 5 by Stan Yes, I recommend this product. Our old fan just wasn't removing the steam and moisture from showers/baths and the bathroom was starting to have a moldy smell. The new 110 CFM, Broan Quiet Bath Fan (QTR110) has really made a difference! No more moldy smell, the bathroom smells fresh and dry. Originally posted on broan.com Jun/2013
Too Noisy Rated 3 by Anonymous No, I do not recommend this product. I purchased this fan a couple of years ago and had it professionally installed. It is suppose to be with low noise fan and it is not. It is quite loud, louder than the one I had replaced. I'd like to replace this one with a truly noiseless fan but cannot afford to do so.
