This fitting is equipped with sweat (nonthreaded) connections. Fitting requires copper flux (a liquid cleaning agent) and solder to create a permanent leak-proof connection. A drop-ear elbow contains ears that can be mounted to a stud for secure installation.

Note: For the best copper solder connection, use open mesh or emery cleaning cloth to clean the inside of the fitting and outside of the pipe.
