The Dial 6199 cast iron variable motor pulley enables precise control over fan speed and airflow in your evaporative cooler, allowing for customizable cooling performance and enhanced energy efficiency. Also, proper functioning of evaporative cooler motors and prevention of overheating depend on adjusting the variable pulleys. Open the pulleys by 2½ to 5 turns, considering the air resistance. If the motor cycles due to overheating, keep opening the variable pulley until the cycling stops. If the cycling persists despite fully opening the pulley, use a smaller pulley size as the next step. Always adhere to the pulley size recommended by the cooler manufacturer to ensure optimal performance.
