To determine the installed length of the vent, subtract the appropriate distance from each connection: 1-1/2 inches for diameters between 10 and 16 inches, or 1-1/8 inches for diameters between 18 and 30 inches. A 1-inch clearance (air space) must be kept between the vent and any combustible materials. In addition, it incorporates a DuraLock mechanism that ensures a secure and tight lock. Also, this product is UL listed, which means it is safe to use with gas fireplaces, furnaces, boilers, water heaters, and wall or space heaters.
