The DuraVent 8BVL90 vent pipe is an adjustable elbow with a 90-degree angle that is a part of the Round Gas Vent series. It has an 8-inch diameter and is classified as a Type B gas component. This component incorporates a DuraLock mechanism that ensures a secure seal. However, it is not recommended to use Type B gas vents with wood or coal burning appliances, industrial ovens, exhaust ranges and hoods, grease or pollution ducting, or as freestanding exhaust vents for high-temperature applications since it is made to reach operating temperature in a brief period of time. During operation, it maintains its high temperature, producing only a small quantity of condensation in both the appliance and the vent system.

This vent pipe has a double-wall construction. The inner pipe is made of aluminum and the outer pipe is made of galvanized steel. In addition, this product is UL Listed so it’s safe to use with natural gas fireplaces, gas-fired furnaces, boilers, water heaters, and wall or space heating applications.
