M-101526-F3BK Rated 5 by Rigorous Yes, I recommend this product. I bought the M-101526-F3BK to replace a 21 yr old M-101526-FA for a two-piece American Standard toilet with a handle on the left side. The previous unit had developed a small crack on the upper side of the tank and would no longer hold sufficient pressure to flush properly after sitting overnight.
The new unit comes as a kit and includes the required gasket, wrench and handle kit for replacing the old unit. The other tools required are a Philips head screwdriver and appropriate wrenches or pliers for removing the bolts from the tank. I used a small crescent wrench for removing and re-tightening the toilet bolts. The step-by-step instructions are very clear. If you can lift the ceramic tank (approx. 45 lb), you can do this job yourself in about an hour. Have towels handy to clean up the water that will drain out of the old tank and some patience for threading plastic nuts on plastic bolts.
Installation and adjustment were straightforward and clearly explained in the instructions. Plumerstock was very helpful by phone in advance of the purchase clarifying what was included in the kit.
The new unit works well and solved my issues with losing pressure overnight. Originally posted on PlumbersStock Aug/2017
Flashmate Replacement Rated 5 by Don Yes, I recommend this product. Purchased to replace a failing 501 series. Easy to install and came with the necessary wrench kit to tighten things up. Works perfectly. More efficient and much quieter than the original unit. Originally posted on PlumbersStock Aug/2017
