Galvanized 1/4" Cap?. This Cap is a fitting that allows you to cap off any fitting in the system. Capping off lines and pipe runs allows the system to be tested, and or function safely until later additions are made. This Galvanized 1/4" Cap features a single tapered and threaded female connection ideal for a snug and leak free connection when installed correctly. (Teflon tape or Pipe dope is required for a leek free connection) This Galvanized Cap and other fittings are used in a variety of different plumbing applications. They can be used in hot water applications, but cold water applications are best with the galvanized fitting and piping construction. Its galvanized construction is very durable and its ability to resist corrosion and rust make it a better choice over black iron or copper fittings.
