Galvanized 1/4" Plug?. This Plug is a fitting that allows you to Plug off any fitting in the system. Plugging off lines and pipe runs allows the system to be tested, and or function safely until later additions are made. This Galvanized 1/4" Plug features a single tapered and threaded male connection ideal for a snug and leak free connection when installed correctly. (Teflon tape or Pipe dope is required for a leek free connection) This Galvanized Plug and other fittings are used in a variety of different plumbing applications. They can be used in hot water applications, but cold water applications are best with the galvanized fitting and piping construction. Its galvanized construction is very durable and its ability to resist corrosion and rust make it a better choice over black iron or copper fittings.
