This Goss BP-1 Pencil Flame Tip is a genuine Goss Propane Soldering tip. This tip goes with BP soldering torch kit assemblies. Propanes a style of Soldering that burns 2 combustible fuel gases to create the flame rather than air and 1 combustible, Propane combined with oxygen from a separate tank for example. This style of Soldering is perfect for either beginners or experienced metal workers due to increased control and added mobility of the Propane fuel setup. This Goss BP-1 Pencil Flame Tip is made of a durable heat resistant metal so it can withstand the intense temperatures associated with this style of soldering. The Goss BP-1 Pencil Flame Tip comes with an air tight fitting design, and features 5/8? tip for ease and comfort in tighter spaces. This style of Soldering requires a spark striker to ignite the gases at the end of the torch, and then you can alter the gas output and heat of the flame at the tip by turning the knobs at the base of the tip assembly.
