It has a Thermostatic cartridge that controls the temperature of water for an overall relaxing and soothing shower effect. It has a maximum flow rate of 8.0 GPM (gallons per minute) / 2.0 GPM. The Hansgrohe 01850181 rough-in valve (sold separately) is needed for a complete installation.
