Questions & Answers

*PLUMBERSSTOCK EXPERT* responded:

Hi, there! Thank you for posting in PlumbersStock.com. We're sorry to hear about this. There are multiple reasons to why your sprinkler system creates water hammers. One such possibility is that there is air in the pipes which create a hammering sound when the valve is closed. This can usually be fixed by installing a water hammer arrestor. Another possible fix is to release the air by opening the pipe or increasing the speed of the water to force the air out. We recommend that you call a local Plumber to diagnose your sprinkler system for a more thorough and precise fix. Hope this helps. Also, feel free to visit our Sprinkler Design Center for free sprinkler designs. We have expert designers that will give you the best and affordable layout for your future sprinkler system. Hope this helps. Thank you and we hope to see you again here at PlumbersStock.com!
