G133 1-Handle Pull-Out Kitchen Faucet
Purchased one like this 15 years ago. I loved the pull out for filling buckets, and rinsing large or heavy items. It could be turned on and off at all positions of the hot to cold arc, and the operation was always smooth. Every few years the seam of the handle would start to drip while in use. I would take it to a plumbing supply that deals Pfister and they would give me a new one. The model was discontinued, so I called Pfister, who would send a new one. A small towel would catch the drips for the few days it would take to arrive. It was never really a problem. Then the body of the faucet began to drip. Pfister sent a new cartridge, along with a new brass ring/nut to hold it in. The fellow on the phone said to call back if I had any problems. For the first time since I bought it, I had to open it up. I don't know why the cartridge lasted so long. The original ring/nut was plastic; which was destroyed while trying to remove it. There was no way to access the cartridge. I quickly purchased a cheap, similar looking, faucet at my local hardware store. This new one is just annoying. It barely reaches into the sink, and it must be carefully turned off at the exact center; and I have to the carefully feed handle back into the hole. I have not called Pfister, as the only option seems to be a complete replacement, which is probably pushing the warrantee too far. I will purchase another one as soon as I can, as I believe that the drip will be common with all pull-out faucets, and Pfister customer service is great.
