Style and functionality meets or exceeds my expectations
I like this faucet just fine, but the directions in the box were NOT for this faucet. The pieces referenced in directions were different than those of the faucet. Luckily, my installer knew what to do, but if I did not have a professional, I'm not sure what would have happened. In addition, there were two pieces that had to snap together; snap was heard. Once water pressure hit, however, they blew apart and there was water everywhere. Sorry, Moen, but you should include better made connections, etc, with your products.
The faucet was installed by a licensed plumber and it had problems right out of the box. The faucet dripped and the aerator leaked out of the threads, splashing water against the back splash each time it was turned on. After the plumber replaced the cartridges with new Moen cartridges, the handles spun around 360 degrees. He called tech support and made the adjustments they recommended but, as he was leaving, he said he has doubts that the problem is truly resolved and said that the problem will likely arise again in the future. The new Moens don't seem to be as sturdy or be the same quality as the older ones.
We bought a 1980s home 4 years ago and did a total remodel. We had Moen faucets in our previous home and loved them -- especially the life-time warranty, which we used several times to replace parts and to replace a kitchen faucet. So we didn't even consider any other brand for our huge remodel. We put the Brantford faucets in all 3 of our bathrooms in oil-rubbed bronze (along with replacing all the shower and tub hardware, towel racks, etc. with Brantford as well).
