We live in Arizona and have very hard water and it has a lot of minerals so it doesn't taste good. We were tired of buying bottled water so we thought we give it a try. Our water tastes good now so we quit buying bottled water. We also didn't want to mess around having to buy and haul bags of salt for the water softener, I will say that if you are used to your water feeling silky from the salt you will probably be disappointed. Nuvo calls the one filter a softener, but I would use the word conditioner. We are fine with it, but it may not be for everybody if you really want soft feeling water. Overall I would say that we are satisfied with the Nuvo, even though it's a little pricing for what it is.
Filters
I love the system, it has transformed my water scenario in my house! The assembly was not difficult if you know what you're doing, I was missing a component from the assembly but I improvised. Other than that I highly recommend it!

Best features that stands out is the ease of placing the filters in every 6 months.There's nothing that I dislike, it filters the water and then it softens the water I live in Orange County Florida in Orlando and the water sometime tastes and smells like chlorine and bleach now that smell and taste is gone. It's been 20 days since I installed it and I could smell and taste the difference right away. Shark bite connections made it so easy to install myself, all purchased at Home Depot.

I had Shur-flow install my system. For the 1st 4 months, I had to clean out the shower head and sink filters. As the system worked, it was cleaning out the pipes. it sure made a difference to the taste of my water.

Great system for hard water and chlorine. The water is now softer and does not have the chlorine odor. Coffee taste better too! We could not use a traditional water softener because we have a septic system.
