Great product, great price, but CFM is a little too low.
It was alittle small, so o didn't think it would be effective. But I have had it a while and it is great. It does the job, it is quiet, and it has stood the test of time, thank you Groan.
I am very pleased with this product. It works very well and the fan is very quiet. Since the fan we had before this one, (not a broan brand) was very loud, I was very pleased with this fan and light fixture.
I was able to replace a similar fan/light in the bathroom without complication. my wife immediately commented on how much quieter the new one is. Since we use it a great deal the significant lack of loud noise is a relief. Now she wants me to replace the fan/light in the other bathroom with this quieter version.
I installed this unit and after reading the instructions was not warned to make sure the wiring was complete before the drywall ceiling is installed. There is no way to service the electric post installation. It also appears there is no way to replace the motor as the motor compartment is riveted in. Overall this unit was unsatisfactory
The Broan bathroom light/fan is well designed, the instructions are easy to understand and follow. The fixture fits readily into the bathroom ceiling and takes about 1 hour to install when replacing an existing light/fan. The fan can be wired to operate either independently of or in conjunction with the light. The Broan bathroom light/fan is an attractive fixture with a strong, quiet fan that is an attractive addition to any bathroom.
I was amazed how very little this Broan unit has changed from when my house was constructed 20 years ago. The fan died in the old unit, and It made replacement very easy. I went to HD first and all they had was NuTone products - bad! (Un)Fortunately the smallest unit was 9" square and my ceiling cutout was 81/4 inch, but I was not about to create more work for me. So I went to my local family owned hardware store who happened to carry the Broan line - Yeah!. My only complaint is that there is little room for adjustment with the grill screw that connects the light reflector assembly. I had to replace it with one that was 1/4 inch longer so the acorn nut would secure it. We have exhaust again in the 1/2 bath.
The unit was relatively easy to install in the ceiling of my enclosed shower compartment. I selected the lower CFM unit since it was a relatively confined space. My house configuration caused some difficulty with the vent pipe coming from the unit, but that was not a unit issue. The light output is very good and provides consistent light throughout the whole shower stall. The fan noise is reasonable, although I wish it could have been less (just didn't want to pay the higher price for the lower noise). Fan has some rattle occasionally, but not consistently. Overall, a good value for a small area that needed both light and vent.
