One Powerful, Long Running Drill! Rated 5 by Anonymous I use this every day. I live in Maine, and it can get cold here. I was very disappointed with several V28 batteries in the past, as they would not hold a charge, and could not be used in cold weather. So I was cautious about this drill's batteries. But I am very pleased with this drill! I keep it in the truck, and it works, cold weather or not. On another note, to me, run time is king, and I'm finding that this drill's run time seems to go on forever! Yes!!! : ) Belt hook is only a couple dollars; I ordered it online! And finally, although the case has no room for a drill index, I just cut an opening in it to fit them, so it works just fine! Originally posted on milwaukeetool.com Jun/2014
Cordless drill ice auger Rated 4 by Anonymous I'm an ice fisherman and drilling holes in the ice manually was getting a bit too much. There have been a number of articles recommending adapting the Milwaukee ½ cordless drill with 4Ah ion batteries to a standard ice auger.....mine is a 6" Strike Master, Mora. I've had it out on the ice twice and both times, I've drilled 40+ 6" holes, 10 to 14" ice, at 20F .....On one battery! My only complaint was the T handle. The groove in the frame appeared to have crack and a piece of it fell off. Consequently, the T handle kept falling off. I returned it to the store and they replaced it. I have not read any review with this problem. I'm hoping, this was a random defect and not a design defect. Originally posted on milwaukeetool.com Jun/2014
very stout, yet nimble and versatile Rated 5 by Anonymous 90% of my use is light duty, "around the house" stuff. I wanted something that was small and light for such. Occasionally, I have a "heavier duty" project that needs POWER (torque) (like drilling 2" tapcons into cement)...without being unwieldy with the little stuff. This is the perfect match. Small, light (OMG, others are HEAVY), and 650 inch lbs of torque. I don't need a lighter duty 12 volt because this covers everything. I've been out of the market for about a decade or so...did MUCH research amongst major manufacturers and kept coming back to Milwaukee... Originally posted on milwaukeetool.com Jun/2013
Great Drill/Driver Rated 5 by Anonymous I would not hesitated to recommend this product to any of my friends, family or professional looking for a great versatile drill/driver. Milwaukee did a great job on the M18 Drill/Driver. In my current basement renovation the M18 has been surpassed any other drill I have owned in the past. The balance and grip are very comfortable and the power/torque has been more than I have needed thus far. I have also found the built in work light is a very nice feature.
