Questions & Answers

*PLUMBERSSTOCK EXPERT* responded:

Hi, there! Thank you for asking with regards to the Milwaukee 48-62-3040 clay spade. No, it won't. Clay spades are used for digging through clay and hard dirt, thus they are designed to be used with hex and SDS max shanks which are designed to withstand heavy-duty applications. SDS and SDS plus are thinner (about 10mm in diameter compared to 18 mm for SDS max) and are commonly used for general drilling and hammering applications. If you really need a clay spade, then you'll have to purchase an SDS max hammer. Hope this helps. Thank you and we hope to see you again here at PlumbersStock.com!
