This 4 port Moentrol PBV (Pressure Balance Valve) features a durable forged brass body ideal for residential and commercial shower applications. What is a Moentrol PRV (Pressured Balance Valve)? This type of valve automatically adjusts to fluctuation in flow rate keeping the temperature constant even while other faucets in the home are used. Imagine no more sudden water changes when someone inadvertently flushes a toilet or starts the dishwasher.  

New with this Model is a pre-installed Flush Plug designed for ultimate convenience. This valve does indeed include the cartridge (#1222) but it is no longer installed from the factory. Instead, a water-tight plug takes its place offering the ability to pressure test your system while keeping the cartridge safe from any potentially harmful contaminates that may have gotten in the waterlines during construction.
