Hi, Thanks for visiting PlumbersStock.com! There are a couple of time tested ways to remove hard water deposits from your showerhead. Some people claim that CLR is the best solution, but it is a chemical and there are many who can not be around the fumes. If this is the solution you choose, you will want to dilute your CLR with water using a 1:1 ratio. Make sure you do not expose your showerhead too much CLR at one time. A 2 minute bath is plenty of time before rinsing it of with water and trying again if needed. Another Less toxic idea (but just as stinky) is a vinegar bath. Covering your showerhead with undiluted distilled white vinegar has also been shown to remove hard water deposits. regardless of the method you choose, if your hard water deposits are severe enough, you may need to use a toothbrush to scrub them away. I hope this helps.
