This shower trim uses the Moentrol control valve  (sold separately) that allows you to adjust both water volume and temperature. The pressure-balancing system helps maintain consistency even when other sources in the house are drawing water.  Either the 63100- or 3500-series rough-in valves will work to complete the installation. Having complied with ADA's high standards, this tub/shower trim is proven to be user-friendly and safe especially for people with disabilities. 

For water efficiency, the showerhead allows a maximum flow rate of  2.5 GPM (gallons per minute).
