About the Panasonic FV-08WQ1

Panasonic 70 CFM WhisperWall Wall-Mounted Bathroom Fan. The Panasonic FV-08WQ1 features a SmartFlow Optimum CFM technology that utilizes a unique electronic brain. This allows for the fan to maintain a constant CFM level regardless of any factors that may hinder its performance. It comes equipped with the CustomVent Variable Speed Control so that the fan can run continuously at various preset levels. The presets feature the lower level of 0, 30-70 CFM, and is maximized at 80CFM when the switch is turned on. This fan also features a high/light delay timer that is adjustable from 30 seconds to 60 minutes, and can purely set by the user, for the user. Panasonic is the first ventilation manufacturer to feature a DC brushless motor that creates unparalleled energy efficiency while maintaining the quietest performance. The DC motor is rated for 60,000 hours of life on continuous run, and the fan can be set to be virtually silent for constant usage, or at maximum capacity. The Panasonic FV-08WQ1 70 CFM WhisperWall Wall-Mounted Bathroom Fan also features a permanently lubricated ball bearing that ensures flawless performance for the span of a lifetime. This creates a virtually maintenance-free bathroom fan that condenses heat to operate at lower temperatures, increasing the lifespan of the fan.

Wall fan was our only option but very pleased Rated 5 by Anonymous
When we remodeled our master bath in a recently purchased older home, I discovered the two old, noisy exhaust fans were vented to inaccessible attic space. The only option to correct the situation was a wall fan. I was a bit nervous about cutting a hole in the side of my house but installation was straight forward and easier than ceiling exhaust fans I've installed in the past. Noise was important and this Panasonic is VERY quiet. It's only rated at 70 CFM but really seems to pull a lot more air than the 2 old ceiling exhaust fans. It is pricey but worth the money for me.

Not cheap, but you get what you pay for Rated 5 by Anonymous
I bought two of these when we did a second story addition. I had to use wall fans because of the framing configuration in the two bathrooms. I looked for quite a while for a wall fan that didn't sound like a jet engine when you turned it on. This model is REALLY quiet, and still moves a lot of air. They were pricey, but they have been very reliable and I have not had any problems, now running on to 9 years.

What about air sealing?? Rated 3 by Anonymous
I can't believe nobody thinks about air sealing when the fan is off!

Awesome bath fan! Rated 5 by Anonymous
Moved into a rental property which has this installed. Curious, I looked the model up online to find out a bit more. VERY quiet and pulls the air very well. Not sure what the cost of the unit was, but it is a great product. Intsalled for more than 5 years and running like a champ!
