About the Interstate Plastics 4J100-125-300

1-1/4 Inch Polyethylene Tubing, 300 Foot Roll - Black Color. The tubing has a 1-1/4 Inch nominal size and comes in a 300 foot roll which is great for larger applications that require a long distance of tubing. It is important to note that this tubing will use 1-1/4 inch Poly fittings which are Barbed or sometimes Compression connection fittings. This Black Poly Tubing is great for a wide variety of plumbing and irrigation application application. Poly Pipe, which stands for “Polyethylene”, has become an alternative to the classic plumbing pipes including Copper, PVC and CPVC. The main advantage to working with poly tube is that it can me manipulated easier than traditional pipe, especially for tight areas where there just isn’t room for multiple pipe fitting to get the tubing from point A to B. It still provides incredible durability and strength and buying a 300' length of pipe means less connections to buy . Potable water distribution and sprinkler systems are two of the most popular applications for poly tube and help to to save time and effort while still getting the same durability and reliability out of your water systems.

Thank you for your interest in the Interstate Plastics 4J100-125-300! The answer to your question is no. According to the manufacturer, the standard 1-1/4” barb fitting would work and you can just buy hose clamps to tighten them together. If you really want to use the sharkbite fitting, you can use that on the Interstate Plastics 4J250-125-300. Hi! thanks for Visiting Plumbersstock.com, and for your interest in this 1-1/4 Inch Polyethylene Tubing. The industry standard for measuring the strength of pipe is normally PSI (Pounds per Square Inch), not tinsel strength. *PLUMBERSSTOCK EXPERT* responded:

Thanks for Visiting Plumbersstock.com, and for your interest in this 1-1/4 Inch Polyethylene Tubing. This pipe is SIDR-19 tubing which is only rated for 80lbs of continual pressure. It has a light outer wall that would not hold up to a compression style full flow fitting. The pipe would likely kink and leak if you tried to use that type of connection. They do make some compression fittings, but they have an insert in them which makes for a strong connections, but negates the "full flow" aspect. So, to answer your question, No there are not full flow compression fittings for this pipe.
