About the Canplas 414268BC

8 Inch PVC Sewer & Drain Cap Fitting for SDR-35 S&D Pipe. A cap is a plumbing fitting that allows you to cap off or end a section of pipe. This cap has a nominal measurement of 8 inch and is for use with 4 inch piping. It has a slip connection, this means that it slips directly onto the desired section of pipe. The fitting is specifically used on SRD-35 PVC pipe. These fittings are great for sewer and drain applications within a residence or commercial property. However they should NEVER be used for gas or compressed air applications. Unlike Schedule 40 PVC, SDR-35 Pipe and fittings are not designed for high pressure applications. SDR-35 is a different class of pipe and therefore is not applicable with Schedule 40, Schedule 80, or C-PVC fittings.
