3/4 Inch Brass Test Plug for PEX Applications. This particular fitting is a PEX Test Plug for PEX Tubing applications and has a solid Plastic construction. The fitting measures 1/2 inches and is for use with 1/2 inch PEX Tubing. A test plug is great for a plumbing application that needs a plug in order to “end” or “seal” of a pipe end. They are also used in order to test or gauge water pressure within a PEX tubing systems such as DWV (Drain, Waste and Vent). Plumbing applications that will use this fitting also include, but are not limited to Potable Water transportation, chemical transportation, hydronic radiant heating and cooling systems. It is very important to note that in order to properly secure the fitting to the tubing, a crimp ring is necessary in order to create that worry free connection. A PEX Crimper will be needed in order to attach the crimp to the tube and fitting.
