Questions & Answers

*PLUMBERSSTOCK EXPERT* responded:

Thank you for asking help from the PlumbersStock team! Leaks in your Rainbird ET63918100 Drip Watering Emitter Tubing can be caused by several factors. One of which is too much pressure. Make sure to use a pressure regulator included in the riser connection kit (if you have an existing Rain Bird 1800 spray head or any 1/2" riser) or faucet connection kit (if you have an outdoor faucet). Since marred tubing can be a possible reason, too, ensure to create a clean cut when needed by the use of a tubing cutter. If there are leaks in between the fittings, check if the fitting is inserted properly. A rocking motion is used to ensure that it is fully inserted in the tubing. Ensure that you have used the correct fitting size. The Rain Bird Landscape Dripline system uses a 0.630" O.D. 1/2" tubing requiring 0.630 fittings. Fittings from other manufacturers may be of a different size. In you have tried everything and still get those leaks, it would be best to contact RainBird at 1-800-724-6247.
