Well Built Product Rated 5 by Woodworker30809
  Yes, I recommend this product.
This item was a Black Friday special so the price point was very attractive. Like other Ridgid products I own, the design is good and they are well constructed which is the primary reason I like the brand. In this case, I wish they would have included additional hose end fittings as it only comes with one. Buying those items individually really adds up. If you want a vacuum with good suction, this one would be a good buy. As for durability, if it is anything like my older Sears Craftsman (which was made by Ridgid's parent company Emerson Electric) this one will hold up for years (my old one was 17 years old and I only sold it because I did a long distance move).

Great vacuum with one complaint Rated 4 by emerson
  Yes, I recommend this product.
Works great, good value, sucks really good, durable and light weight. Also very easy to use and store. BUT I bought this vacuum to clean up some soot and ash around my fireplace. I purchased the fine particle filter for the job. It worked great during use but after I put it away for storage, there was ash and soot falling from the seal around the outside of the canister onto the floor, as I carried it throughout the house to put it away in the garage. I think there should be a seal of some kind around this part to prevent dirt from coming out .

Great for the price Rated 3 by mattsinsight
No, I do not recommend this product.
Easy to use and put together. Has a decent intake vacuum for the price. Can clean carpets in the car and vacuum up sawdust, dust, or metal shavings on workbench pretty decently. I feel that the shopvac could use an O-ring where the top piece attaches to the body, to create a better vacuum pressure. Right now the top doesn't really seal to the bottom (tank area) so the suction feel like it's lacking in that regard and the top feels a bit rickety as it sits on the base.

Very poor suction. Very disappointing. Rated 1 by Jammin
No, I do not recommend this product.
Very poor suction. I have multiple shop vacs. This is by far the worst at sucking up dirt and debris. Also, the attachment that goes on the end of the hose has the wrong angle. It required the suction tube to be held very much upright.....so much so that you can't vacuum under anything. I can't believe this is a Ridgid product. I have had other Ridgid products in the past and was satisfied with the performance of those products, but this thing is ridiculously flawed.
