A rough valve must be ordered to complete the package. It has a 3-1/4" reach (refer to the specification sheet). It has a dome, an escutcheon and a metal lever handle. Move the handle up for on and down for off. Rotating the handle clockwise is for hot and counterclockwise for cold.
