This Driftwood Tan 8" x 28" Shoemaker 1550 Series Vent Cover is designed to fit and cover an 8” wide by 28” high opening. Shoemaker has a complete line of products designed for homes, offices, stores, and many other commercial applications. The Shoemaker 1550 Series Floor Register is designed with a honeycomb construction that has an anti-shock property, giving it optimum weight-to-load bearing capacity and bending strength that helps support foot traffic. This register has fixed bars at 0° deflection. The blades on this floor register run parallel to the longest dimension. The core and the frame are on the same level to provide a smooth appearance. The Shoemaker 1550 Series Floor register comes with a recessed screwdriver-operated opposed blade damper. It is used to regulate the airflow through linked sections of adjacent blades that rotate in the opposite direction. Compared to other damper types, an opposed blade damper maintains a more even airflow. It also provides better control over the airflow in all operating positions. A recessed screwdriver-operated damper prevents any unnecessary adjustments of the damper setting. The standard color of this grille is driftwood tan, but it is also available in soft white and designer colors. Be sure to measure the hole opening size instead of measuring the face plate of your old grille. This grille is designed to fit over an 8" x 28" existing hole or duct.
