This Soft White 42"x12" Shoemaker 600FG Lattice Return Air Grille is designed to fit and cover a 42" wide by 12" high opening. The standard color of this grille is soft white but it is also available in driftwood tan. Optional designer colors and anodized finishes are also available. This Shoemaker 600FG grille is typically mounted in ceilings and walls. It has an extruded aluminum surface mount frame with signature line marks. Unlike other products, Shoemaker grilles have a baked-on textured polyester powder coat that can resist scratches and does not wear or fade out easily. The Shoemaker 600FG is designed to conceal duct work. This grille allows for the installation of thicker filters which can minimize pressure drop on the overall system, improving air flow through the heat exchanger and extending the time between filter changes. It features a 2-way reversible door on rectangular sizes and a 4-way reversible door on square sizes. This filter grille has a 1/2" x 1/2" x 1/2" aluminum lattice. Two other lattice sizes are also available, 1/2" x 1/2" x 1" and 1" x 1" x 1". This filter grill can hold a filter with a maximum thickness of 1". It is manufactured 3/16" undersized compared to the nominal duct's outside dimension for easy installation. The air filter (not included) should be ¼" to ½" undersized. Please verify with the air filter manufacturer for air specifications. Please note that this grille is designed to fit over a 42"x12" existing hole or duct.
