Questions & Answers

Thank you for asking help from the PlumbersStock team. There are two things that you can do if you're not getting enough hot water. First, try to adjust the limit stop screw on this Symmons 15-2 Chrome Temptrol Tub/Shower Mixing Valve. This limit stop screw is designed to limit the valve handle from being turned to excessively hot water discharge temperatures. To adjust, remove the dome cover and open the valve to your desired maximum temperature. Then, turn in the limit stop screw until it seats. Please check page 1 of this Instruction Manual for reference. If you have done these steps and the problem still persists, that's the time you change the cartridge. You may get ideas in this video on how to change the spindle/cartridge. If you need further technical assistance, please contact the manufacturer at 1-800-796-6667. Thank you for visiting!
