12 x 12 x 8 Inch Flange Tee Fitting, Ductile Iron Construction. This particular fitting is a Tee Fitting for Ductile Iron Pipe applications that features Mechanical Joint connections. A tee is an important fitting as it is used in order to connect three sections of iron pipes allowing you to connect two different pipes into one. The fitting gets its Tee name from its shape as it resembles the letter “T”. If you were to look at this tee head on in a “T” shape the connections on either side measure 8 inches nominal size and the middle connection measuring 6 inches nominal size. Its connections on either end feature “flange” style connections which have machine drilled holes for proper installation. Ductile Iron Pipe systems are most commonly used in the transportation of potable water, but are also used for waste water applications as well.
