I have what appears to be a Rainjet 54048 valve that is leaking internally. No water is on the outside. But water is pooling at the lowest sprinkler head. It appears to have an internal leak. Can you help be decide what I need to do? Please respond via e-mail. I am especially concerned with the non-PVC black plastic water line and how to connects to the valve if the valve is designed for PVC. Thank you Dan K
Hello Dan! We are sorry to hear about your concern and thank you for reaching out to PlumbersStock to help you resolve it. Your sprinkler is leaking because it might be that the debris get stuck in valves. They stay open just enough to leak into the line and to the sprinklers. What you can do to start, is flush any debris from the valve by opening the bleader on top of the valve. Make sure to close the water and remove the solenoid to see if it has debris in it. If, once the water is turned on and the solenoid is tight but the valve is still leaking through, you need to remove the screws and replace the diaphragm. We recommend that you use the Lawn Genie L13100 replacement diaphragm. Just follow the link to learn more about it. We hope this information helps you. Thank you for contacting PlumbersStock!
