What type of thread does the valve stem need to have?

Does the cartridge push in or thread in? I have a valve like the one pictured, but cant find a replacement cartridge, the cartridge in it is all plastic with a plastic stem , i havent heard back from Pfister , i’m guessing they went with a new style cartridge, but Home depot or Lowes dont have anything that will fit, i havent even seen any videos for 2 handle bathtub/shower intall to ask any questions, any advice?
