The Broan-NuTone MD8T automatic make-up air damper is designed to work seamlessly with your kitchen ventilation system, ensuring proper airflow and a balanced indoor environment. The normally closed damper automatically opens when your exhaust fan is activated, allowing fresh air to enter and replace the air being expelled. This helps prevent negative air pressure, which can impact the performance of your range hood and other ventilation systems. Foam seals minimize air leakage when the damper is closed, contributing to energy efficiency. In addition, the damper is constructed with durable 24-gauge galvanized steel and features an adjustment screw for precise balancing of your ventilation system.
This automatic make-up air damper is compatible with select Broan and BEST range hoods. It can be used with various Fresh Air Inlet models to accommodate different damper sizes (6", 8", and 10"), sold separately. The damper includes a 24 Volt 20VA transformer for convenient installation and operation.
