Hi, I'm trying to replace my cartridge on my Gerber showr faucet. Im having difficulty removing the handle, any suggestions or videos that I could follow?
Hi there! We are sorry to hear that you're having difficulty in removing the handle of the Gerber 49-731 tub and shower faucet. There are simple ways to remove the handle, first, a handle insert or button must be removed to see the screw that attached the handle and the cartridge, it is labeled with red and blue color and is located at the center part of the handle. Second, once the screw is showing up, you can remove it by using a screwdriver. You may also take a look at the parts list to see more parts information. Hope this helps. Thank you for visiting PlumbersStock. Have a wonderful day!

Should the stem be open when installing new stem?in Gerber single handle
Hi! Thank you for your question. First, turn the faucet ON to release any pressure left. After doing this and the handle has been removed, it doesn't matter whether the stem is open or close. Once the new stem is installed, please make sure that the short flat side is in the UP position (facing upward). This will ensure that your faucet handle turns to the proper direction when utilizing the SafeTemp limit feature. Should you have further questions, please don't hesitate to contact us. We will be happy to assist you. Thank you for visiting PlumbersStock.com. Have a great day!
