About the Delta 440-WH-DST

The Delta 440-WH-DST (DIAMOND (TM) Seal Technology) Collins Single Handle Kitchen Faucet with Side Sprayer in White Finish, takes the properties of a diamond to a new level with their revolutionary water delivery system combining their durable DIAMOND (TM) Valve with their InnoFlex (R) PEX tubing waterways. To create an extraordinarily durable and leak-free valve that requires no lubrication and eliminates wear on seals ensuring that this valve will last a life time. The valve also keeps water from contact with possible metal contaminants by its innovative design allowing for a purer water. The Delta 440-WH-DST Collins Single Handle Kitchen Faucet with Side Sprayer in White Finish uses the limit stop on Delta's DIAMOND (TM) Valve cartridge making it easy to limit the handle's range of motion for the hot water from a possible full flow to a 50/50 mix easily eliminating burns for sensitive skin. The 440-WH-DST Collins faucet is also water efficient, and saves our planets most precious resource; water. With a convenient side sprayer that eases so much work at the sink this faucet's amazing features are packed into a super sleek and simply elegant faucet, that will compliment any kitchen with its sensible styling and crisp design lines; and with its Brilliance (R) finish from delta that will help to resist abrasions and possible discolorations better than traditional brass or even other traditional chrome finishes, it shines beautifully. The Delta 440-WH-DST Collins Single Handle Kitchen Faucet with Side Sprayer in White Finish is a smart choice in any kitchen setting.

Nice Faucet Rated 5 by oltex
  Yes, I recommend this product.
Discontinued item (440-ssWF) picked up from local supplier, but newer Foundations Core-B or Collins (DST valve) are comparable. Professionally installed (to replace 40+ year old Delta), with no issues. Only negative is slightly reduced flow (is older 2.2gpm, so may be new SOV's installed at same time), and vegetable sprayer feels just a little "cheap" (MUCH nicer than the real cheapo plastic ones, but have not installed hose box yet, which may help seat better). Very smooth operation, and love the brushed stainless finish; same high quality as has been characteristic of Delta over the years.

Great Customer Service Rated 5 by Tyreetown
  Yes, I recommend this product.
Wow! Delta REALLY does stand behind its products. Have had this faucet for about three years. It worked great-easy install, no drips. But then suddenly the spray and hose assembly malfunctioned and the faucet stopped working. We were thinking of replacing with a new faucet when our local plumbing supply suggested that we contact Delta. Wow! They immediately sent the parts we needed and now our faucet is working better than ever. You can be sure our next faucet WILL be a Delta! The customer service rep was knowledgeable and polite-very easy to deal with.

Faucet has design problems Rated 3 by Skipper
No, I do not recommend this product.
This faucet replaced an older Delta faucet that we liked very much, but corroded out due to acid water. Unfortunately, the new 440-DST is not as good as the old one. Using the handle, it has a very narrow band of adjustment for temperature. Slightly too far to the left and you get scalded, slightly to far to the right and it's freezing cold. The smallest movement of the handle produces a drastic change in the temperature To turn off flow, handle has to be depressed exactly in the center position or it continues to drip, necessitating a return trip to the faucet to re-adjust the handle to center. While the new unit may not corrode like the old one, it is much harder to operate properly and wastes time for the user. Positive things: Spout swivels back and forth much easier, and spray nozzle hose seems more flexible.

Excellent buy for the money Rated 4 by Janeofalltrades
  Yes, I recommend this product.
Our water has a high mineral content so we go through faucets about every 3-4 years. I selected this one because of the lifetime warranty and have been very pleased with the purchase. We have had the product for 2 years and there is no sign of corrosion. We have had no problems with leaks or drips and the installation was very simple. I purchased this faucet at a plumbing supply store based on their recommendation and I have not been disappointed.
