Howdy! According to Little Giant, yes, this does sound like a good application for a 1/2hp sewage pump. The WSV52HAM has a piggyback float which is the only difference from what you described. Also, if the pump is still working and you just need to replace the float, then we need to know the model number of your pump so that we may be able to identify the float switch that you need. We will await your reply. If you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact us anytime @ 435-868-4020 between 8:00 am and 7:00 pm MST. We will be happy to assist you. I want to replace a little giant sewage ejector pump, like for like. It is in a home basement servicing 1 bathroom and a floor drain with vertical head of less than 12'. It has a 2" discharge and integral float switch. It is also inside what looks like a Simplex Sewage tank. Which pump should I order? By the way, the pump is still functioning, but the float switch is not. The pump is 11 years old. I just sent a message.
