This particular product is a Coupling fitting that is specifically for use with Wardflex piping. Wardflex is an industry leader in flexible gas piping. The coupling is designed in order to connect to sections of piping together. It can be used in either new construction or in order to repair a section of Wardflex piping. The coupling consists of a coupling body, two retainer rings, two nuts and two gaskets. The two nuts work to "compress and tighten" the tubing into the fitting. By threading the nut onto the coupling body, it tightens down on the pipe and secures it securely. Lastly, the coupling fitting is for use with 1/2 inch piping due to the couplings 1/2 inch connections. These couplings should only be used with other Wardflex products and should not be mixed and matched with other manufacturers for safety.
