To change the battery, simply grasp the top and the bottom of the wall plate and do the same to the thermostat. Then carefully pull the thermostat from the wallplate to reveal the back part. Finally, replace the old batteries with fresh ones as illustrated in page 9 of this Installation Manual. To mount the thermostat back on the wall, simply align the 4 tabs on the wall plate with the corresponding slots on the back of the thermostat, then push gently until the thermostat snaps in place. 1. Press and hold both the ARROW UP and ARROW DOWN buttons until the display changes.
2. Press the ARROW UP button until the first number on the display reads 14.
3. Press the ARROW DOWN button until the second number on the display reads 0.
4. Then press and hold both the ARROW UP and ARROW DOWN buttons to exit and save the settings.

With the switch in the OFF position, grab the wall plate to open it up. Pull the batteries out and replace them with the new one. Make sure to align the 4 stabs on the wall plate with the corresponding slots on the back of the thermostat, then push gently until the thermostat snaps in place.
