Replaced same brand. Rated 5 by backman Especially easy since I was replacing another Insinkerator that had seen its last days. Screws for the tank were the same and the mounting of the faucet has been made even easier than before. Had to trim some of the copper line and use a coupling fitting to connect. Working under a sink is tight no matter what you are doing. We have had one of these in our home since we purchased our first home that had one of these in it. They are so great for lots of things. Especially oatmeal and tea. This one is nice since it has the higher spout and seems to fit closer to the back of the sink so it's not in the way when we do dishes. Just go get one. You'll be glad you did. Originally posted on insinkerator.com Oct/2015
Installation a challege Rated 3 by PlumberPaul2 Yes, I recommend this product. I had an Insinkerator installed 12 years ago that began leaking from rust-out, and I decided to replace it as I used the hotwater on a daily basis. I found that detaching the old spigot from underneath my granite countertop was very difficult as the stainless steel sink provided very little room and the old spigot was rusted in. In addition, the new spigot had shorter pipes and hoses, requiring that the new tank could not be mounted in the old location, and it just barely fit next to the deep stainless steel sink. After completing the installation, the unit has worked fine for the past 8 mos. Originally posted on insinkerator.com Jun/2013
We like it now that it is installed... Rated 3 by KCMp3 Yes, I recommend this product. We were really excited to finally buy an on demand hot water system. The package claims it is easy to install, we laughed at that knowing it would likely not be so easy. It was tough! Mainly because the one part it was missing for installation was really difficult to find. Hubby went to at least 4 hardware stores to find our part. We just finally got it working. The original hose we got was plastic and left a plastic taste to our hot water. I just replaced it with a better hose and we shall see if it is just right now...my first cup tastes better but still has a plastic flavor... Originally posted on insinkerator.com Jul/2015
This replaces our old unit. Love having one and have had one for years. Rated 5 by Saws We have had InSinkErator instant hot water heaters for many years. A very real convenes when the children were little, big and, now, parents themselves. This product has always performed very well and been a great help with many things. The only reason for this new one is that our last, which has been in the kitchen since the re-model eight years ago, sprung a small leak in the tank. We are in our mid sixties and still love this unit for its convenes. We use it a lot as do our children and the grandchildren when they visit, which is a lot. Thank You for a great product.
