We purchased our first instant hot water (Insinkerator Involve H View) with our kitchen remodel to make our morning Americanos and evening tea easier. I never would have imagined how much I would come to rely on that little gadget sitting at attention at the corner of my sink, ready and waiting for any job I threw at it. Hot cocoa in an instant? Need to soak a pot or pan? Dissolving Jello, melting chocolate, I use my soldier at least a dozen times a day. Our first heater unit died about 4 years into its service. This second one lasted about the same amount of time, with the same dying ailment. It starts sputtering out air mixed with the hot water, as though air is getting into the line. The first time we were told it was a crack in the casing of the heating unit. This time I am told there might be a fault in the floater/mixer bead thingy that will also require a new unit. Of course beyond warranty. My only complaint here is that apparently some folks have been given substantial discounts to replace their units, (according to reviews I have read elsewhere), but I was offered nothing. Though that doesn't seem quite right, it doesn't change my love of the Instant hot water in my life. I will not hesitate to purchase my third unit, and hope it lasts longer this time.
