The Insinkerator Septic Assist is a 3/4 HP Garbage Disposer (less Cord) from the Evolution Collection. This USA-made disposer is specifically designed to be used in homes with septic systems. It comes with advanced features like the MultiGrind dual-stage grinding system that lets you quickly grind food waste that you wouldn't normally put in a standard disposer. You wouldn't have to worry about the waste odors because the Bio-Charge technology both help break down food waste and provides a refreshing scent of citrus to reduce the odors. It also comes with our SoundSeal Plus technology that makes it at least 60-percent quieter than other disposers, and a 3/4 HP heavy-duty Dura-Drive induction motor that delivers a consistent, maintenance-free performance.
The Compact Evolution features a 40-ounce stainless steel grind chamber and components to allow it to handle more volume and for added durability. For extra peace of mind, this budget-friendly disposer offers a 4-year We Come to You In-Home Service Warranty! Please note that all the mounting hardware needed for installation are included except for the power cord (CRD-00), and it must be purchased separately.

If you have a septic tank...... Rated 5 by uncleDude Yes, I recommend this product. I have used Insinkerators since I was kid and my Dad installed one. In 1995, I had a multi-stage Insinkerator installed over a septic tank (sized for a four bedroom - 3 bath home) for the first time. Never had an issue. In 2006 I had two multi-stage Insinkerators installed over a septic system (sized for a 5BR - 4Ba home) and have never had an issue. I purchased this one for a small river cottage with a ten year old septic system which was pumped and inspected in May of this year. It is quieter than any I have had before and it is fast and efficient. I expect no issues with this one - the 10 and 20 year old ones are still performing like new. Buy one! Great disposer, takes some getting used to! Rated 4 by MattyIce I didn't install this, my contractor did in our new home. However, it seems to be a pretty great unit. It's quieter than I expected, and it hasn't had a problem with anything we've ground up yet. I've only had it a few weeks, so I can't speak on its durability or the long term results of the enzyme treatment on the waste in my septic tank. I'm hopeful it will help, though. I will say the drain trap assembly has come apart three times now and it's difficult to put back together, so make sure it stays tight or you'll have trouble with it! Also the unit is fairly large under my sink and takes up more room than I expected it would. Hence the reason for the 4 stars. Originally posted on insinkerator.com Mar/2016
Overall very quiet and easy to install Rated 5 by Clint44 I was replacing a previous garbage disposal and due to being on a septic system, I found this one was the only one on the market that specialized in septic safe disposers. I am very pleased with the product so far, after about a month. It is super quiet (for a disposer) and very powerful. Note, when installing it on a dual sink, the release button to change the septic fluid container is less than an inch from my cabinet interior wall. But knowing that I will only need that when changing the container, it is a very minimal flaw. Overall, high quality, ease of install, and ultra quietness makes this a disposer I would absolutely recommend to anyone with a septic system in need of one. Our new Insinkerator from our beloved Uncle Clinton Taylor. Rated 5 by Matt58 It is the most quiet one we have ever had. Works great. It was easy to replace the old one. All the mounting hardware was the same as the old one. Just snapped into place. I did not like the intake boot being all rubber as our old one was solid. But it made it a little easier to install. It is a septic style and we are on a sewer system. I had trouble was the chemical bottle install. I called and they recommended a service company in our area. They said it was covered under warranty but we don't really need it. So I let it go. Over all we are vary happy with our new unit. Thank you Uncle Clinton.
