Howdy! Thank you for asking about our Alsons BAS4BX Clear Bar Slide. According to Delta, the end cap should just pull down if you are removing the bottom one. We hope this helps. If you have other questions, please do not hesitate to ask and we will be more than happy to assist you. how do you get the new piece on the rail with the tension spring in back, its too tight
Hola! Thank you for taking an interest in the Alsons BAS4BX clear bar slide. To reassemble a bar slide with a tight tension spring, start by lubricating the rail and sliding piece to reduce friction. Compress the spring using a clamp or pliers, and secure it temporarily with string or a zip tie. Align the parts carefully, then use a flathead screwdriver or similar tool to guide the spring and sliding piece onto the rail. Gradually insert the piece while applying steady pressure, and once it's mostly in place, carefully release the spring. Last but not least, make final adjustments to ensure the sliding piece moves freely. If the spring is excessively tight, consider replacing it or inspecting the rail and piece for imperfections that may need smoothing. Always prioritize safety and wear protective gear. We hope this information helps. Thank you for reaching out to PlumbersStock, where customer satisfaction is always a priority. Enjoy shopping, and have a great day!
