If your faucet is still leaking even when it is closed, a possible cause would be dirt or debris in the valve or cartridge area which is located under the handle. Another reason would be the spacer or check valve has already worn out. What you can do is replace the valve or cartridge and/or the spacer or check valve. You can get the K-GP1093674 faucet valve.
