If the tool turns off automatically: unplug the tool, remove the blade from the tool, allow it to rest for a minimum of two minutes, reset the overload protector, and resume with your cut. It could be the overload protector automatically turning it off. The tool can become overloaded when the blades are dull, materials are too thick to be cut, or cutting hard metals such as stainless steel.
