This 3/4-inch nominal size CPVC pipe is sold in convenient 5-foot lengths, making it a great choice for smaller applications requiring shorter pipe sections. The pipe is designed to be used with 3/4-inch CPVC fittings for all necessary connections.
To connect the pipe and fittings, a process called solvent welding is required. This process involves using both CPVC glue and primer. CPVC pipe has a smooth, glaze-like finish; the primer removes this glaze, ensuring a proper bond between the pipe and fittings. Failure to use primer can result in cracks or breaks in CPVC connections.
CPVC pipe is widely used in applications such as corrosive fluid handling, fire suppression systems (sprinklers), and potable water distribution. Unlike standard PVC, CPVC is designed to handle higher water temperatures, ranging from 104°F to 122°F.
Note: Due to shipping regulations, CPVC pipe is sold and shipped in straight lengths of up to 5 feet. For longer needs, coiled pipe is available as an alternative option.
