This PVCB11212 1-1/2" x 1/2" Schedule 40 PVC bushing is used when transitioning from a PVC sewer hub to a DWV hub. It connects two pipes of different sizes. A bushing usually is available in a range of size combinations. Normally used to transition from a DWV system to a PVC sewer piping system. Also, this PVC bushing is used in both the drainage and venting sections of the plumbing installations. Like many other fittings, this bushing uses approved PVC primer and solvent cement to make PVC joints. This 1-1/2" x 1/2" bushing can handle fluids at service temperatures up to 140 degrees Fahrenheit, allowing a wide range of process applications, including corrosive fluids. Furthermore, this bushing meets the standards set by the NSF/ANSI 61 and 14 Annex G, ASTM D1785, and is ISO 9001 certified for product safety.
