Hey there! Thank you for posting your query on the Redback EA218-KIT3A1A chain saw kit. The saw getting uncontrollable may be due to reactive forces, namely kickback, pushback, and pull-in. A reactive force could occur if the rotating chain is abruptly stopped by contact with a solid object, such as a log or branch, or if it is pinched. Make sure to firmly grip the chain saw with both hands when cutting. By the same token, ensure that every part is installed properly and free from damage before operation. On top of that, you can equip the saw with a safety chain to reduce the risk. You can refer to pages 11-14 of the operations manual for more guidelines.
