Rigid has several grades of threading oil. I chose this as I was cutting extremely hard steel bolts. I am breaking fewer dies or teeth in dies, extended life. Oil is cheaper than dies so in this case for this specific product I rate it the best over those I have used in the past.

I always used the dark cutting oil in the past, but since I mostly work with stainless steel I gave this oil a try. It works well, I use it now for mild steel cutting and threading too, it's less smelly. I have to drill a lot 1-1/8" holes and cut also a lot M10 and M16 threads with my mag drill and havn't sharpened my 1-1/8 drill bit after more than 200 holes or broke any taps after more than 500 cuts into 5/8" thick mild steel. I highly recommend this cutting oil.

"Had to install a hundred feet of 1” black iron LP gas piping to complete a recent heating upgrade for a dear friend. Many cuts & threading of the black iron pipe. This stuff performed where lesser oils failed. I was getting way too much tread pull out and material spalling until I started using this oil. Expensive? Yes! Worth it for getting one pass thread generation on the crap they call gas pipe these days? Absolutely will buy and use in the future!"
