The ScaleBlaster SB-75 is a residential descaler that removes limescale, protecting the plumbing and lessening its maintenance costs. This residential descaler is easy to install inside the home. It is maintenance-free and best of all, costs less than half the price for a water softener. This ScaleBlaster SB-75 descaler produces a scientifically developed signal that resonates inside the pipes, preventing the calcium molecules that produce the limescale from adhering to the pipe walls. The limescale then dissolves and is flushed out of the pipes. It is installed indoors. Using this descaler prolongs the service life of piping systems, dishwashers, washing machines, faucets, sinks, humidifiers, water heaters, tankless heaters, toilets, showerheads, coffee makers and radiant heating systems. It works on copper, PVC, CPVC and PEX pipes. The ScaleBlaster SB-75 descaler is cleared for homes that are less than 4,000 square feet and works well on calcium hardness (Ca) levels that are up to 19 grains per gallon (gpg) or 325 parts per million (ppm). It is wall-mounted and runs on 100 to 120 VAC with an output voltage of no more than 5 volts DC (open circuit). The descaler operates on a 32 degrees Fahrenheit to a 130 degrees Fahrenheit temperature and should be stored between 10 degrees Fahrenheit to 150 degrees Fahrenheit. Its enclosure is made of high-impact ABS molded plastic that was given a tough and solid design that makes it durable and easy to use with a longer service life. 7 It is -1/2 inches long, 4-3/4 inches wide and 2-1/8 inches thick. Its 52-foot signal cable is made from special 18 AWG stranded wire. It is compatible with pipes that are up to 1-1/4 inches in diameter. I am a real estate appraiser and have seen this product in a few homes. Each time, the homeowner has spoken positively of it. When my softener was beginning to show signs (not going through the volume of salt like it usually does) of slowing down/age/malfunction and the water was feeling a harder, I decided to pick this up and give it a try. My wife, my daughter and I all have all noticed an immediate improvement in the water. Now 2 weeks later, the water feels as good as it ever has! I installed it right after the meter and it took about an hour to install. The hardest part was counting the number of "wraps" around the pipe. So far so good, we would certainly recommend the Scaleblaster to a friend or neighbor with hard water.

We recently built a house in the country and are on well water. We noticed immediately how our water was hard with calcium building up on brand new fixtures. Also, when taking showers, it was almost impossible to get the soap to lather. Clean dishes would come out of the dishwasher looking dull and chalky. I installed this descaler and noticed results after 1 day. Soap in the shower lathered better. Dishes came out noticeably cleaner. All I can say is this thing really works! Check out the picture for proof. Install was easy. I had to completely re plumb the water coming into my house because I did not have enough pipe for wire wraps. I wrapped the wire around my pvc pipe before I glued it back together making the wrapping process so much easier. I plugged the 2 leads back into the descaler and got immediate results. My wife loves it! She loves how the dishes look so much cleaner. I was skeptical when I bought this but now I am a believer. I would higher recommend getting one. Remember, this is a water conditioner not a water softener. Your water still will have the calcium but I changes the condition of the water.

My wife and I just moved into a new construction home out in the country. We are on a well and we have 17 gpg water. Our initial thought was to get a water softer but before investing considerable amount of $ we looked into the scale blaster. I'm glad we did! Before we installed it, water would start to turn the extra bathroom toilet bowl brown within 4-5 days. Since install, the toilet bowl has yet to stain from standing water. The only downfall to the Scale Blaster is the install process. It took some time and patience but so far we have been very pleased with the results. If you're looking for "soft" water you're NOT going to get it with this product. If you want to reduce the lime/scale build up in your pipes, faucets, toilets, and on shower glass this IS the product for you.
